Speech-Language Therapy
I provide speech-language therapy throughout New York City. Therapy is provided individually and/or in a group setting. Therapy is specific and individualized to the need of each child. My experience includes: Autism Spectrum Disorder; Pragmatic Language Difficulties; Expressive Language Disorder/Delay; Receptive Language Disorder/Delay; Executive Functioning Difficulties; Articulation Disorders; Phonological Disorders; Literacy, Reading and Learning Difficulties; Play Skills; Apraxia of Speech; Auditory Processing Disorder and Stuttering.
Speech-Language Evaluations
Speech and language assessments are individualized for each client. Before an assessment takes place, parents will be asked to complete an intake form about their child including concerns, developmental milestones and school-based information. About two weeks after the assessment is completed, you will receive a report with results of the evaluation. The report will go though each section of the evaluation and include strengths, weaknesses, impressions, recommendation and goals.
Consultation and Workshops
Consultation services are individualized and specific based on a persons need. Generally consultation involves a meeting to discuss the concerns and to brainstorm a functional plan. Consultation can occur in the home, school, day care setting, for specific caretakers (i.e., babysitter, nanny, grandparent) job sites and other locations. Read more about consultation services in the FAQs.I also provide consultation work for families who need assistance with interpreting and understanding evaluations and how to use that information during IEP meetings. Furthermore, I design and implement workshops to educate schools, professionals and families about language disorders, evaluations, treatment strategies, and how to support children across educational environments.
